Before Installing Laminated wood Flooring

Make sure you open the boxes and let the wood acclimate before you do the installation. This will expand and reduce the wood as needed for the climate it is in. They should be left there for 24 to 48 hours before installation.

Installation

Most laminate flooring has some form of click system where the pieces click together. Be sure that you are working in a clean dust free room. Start with full pieces on the first row then in the next row continue with half pieces that way the joints are not too far apart. Leave spaces at the edge of the room this allows for expansion and contraction you can always hide these spaces with the base board.

If there are baseboards prior to installation, you will want to take these off so as not to have a problem with the whole installation of the laminate wood flooring.
